What is partner yoga therapy?

Partner Yoga Therapy is not a traditional yoga class.

It is a guided, therapeutic experience designed to help couples:

  • Reconnect physically and emotionally

Through gentle movement, shared breath practices, and guided reflection, you learn practical tools that support both regulation and relationship growth.

What happens in a session ?

Using an embodied approach, you and your partner will explore connection, communication, and intimacy through mindful movement, breath, and dialogue. I facilitate the session but together we co-create the tone and direction. 

Each 60-minute online session includes:

  • A brief guided check-in
  • Gentle partner-based movement
  • Breath practices to regulate the nervous system
  • Co-regulation techniques
  • Integration and reflection time

The focus is not performance.

It’s awareness, steadiness, and shared regulation.

When partners learn how to settle their nervous systems together, communication naturally becomes clearer and calmer.

Why co-regulation matters

Stress is contagious.

But calm is contagious too.

When one partner learns to ground, breathe, and regulate, the other often follows. Over time, new, healthier patterns of responding — rather than reacting — begin to form.

I’m Fay Dwyer, C-IAYT certified yoga therapist. My work integrates therapeutic movement, breathwork, and nervous system science to support individuals and partners during stress and life transitions.

Sessions are collaborative, practical, and paced gently. Nothing is forced.
